Why Was My Order Delivered Late?

Despite our best efforts, there are several factors that could possibly contribute to a package arriving delayed or later than expected, although most of these do have a logical explanation. When placing your order online, the address you provide us with will return various shipping methods that indicate when you should expect your package to be delivered, in accordance to the time at which the order is placed and ultimately the shipping method you select upon checkout:

  1. Our ability to fulfill orders by your *preferred delivery date is ultimately affected by deadline and location; Same Day deliveries to the GTA must be placed no later than 11:00 am EST, and Next Day deliveries by 2:00 pm EST. Failure to do so could result in your order being held at our warehouse until the following business day.
  2. Shipping methods indicate the minimum amount of business days required for transit; business days means that weekends and public holidays are not included during these estimates.
  3. When it comes to ordering products online, there are times when payment does not get processed successfully due to missing/incorrect information. When this occurs, our customer service department will attempt to contact customers to resolve payment issues in the hopes of avoiding further delays, but this is not always possible. Once payment is received and/or corrected and re-processed, the package will be dispatched as soon as possible.
  4. Because we ship to all cities across Canada and the United States, delays could result from a wide range of situations over which we have little to no control once a package has been dispatched from our facilities, such as acts of nature, internet failures, computer equipment failures, telecommunication equipment failures, electrical power failures, strikes, labour disputes, riots, insurrections, civil disturbances, shortages of labour or materials; fires, floods, storms, explosions, war, governmental actions, orders of domestic or foreign courts or tribunals, non-performance of third parties, among others.

*All customers are given the choice to indicate "When Would You Like the Delivery" in order for us to gauge when the basket should be dispatched from our warehouse; however, this selection is considered null and void if a shipping method that allows us to fulfill your request is not selected or conflicts with the preferred delivery date. For example: a customer indicates that they would like their order delivered tomorrow but selects a shipping method that requires four business days' transit. Delayed deliveries are also not uncommon around major holidays such as Christmas, Valentine's Day and Easter.
