My family and I purchased the Lux Gift Basket to celebrate my mom's retirement. The only item that correct was the upgraded selected bottle of sparkling wine . The rest... well the strawberries were poorly packaged, therefore inedible upon receipt; the added Collier's Welsh Cheddar was Cabot's sharp cheddar; the BOSS Gourmet Cheese Hexagon was Cabot's Pepper Jack cheese; the Capeachio's Original Water Crackers were a gourmet cracker/toast; the Delish Triple Berry Jelly was a Braswell's strawberry preserves. Furthermore, the marble slab was a chintzy wood cutting board (scratched on both sides). Also, I selected the option to add a greeting card message and took the time to select a design for our message. What my mom received was a cheap printout on a cut piece of scratch paper.
When I expressed to the company how disappointed I was when I heard what my mom received they referred me to the company's "NOT AS DESCRIBED & SUBSTITUTIONS" hidden in the fine print of one of the selections at the bottom of their webpage. (ie. I had to search for this information that would have been good to know in the checkout process)
The appearance of this company via their website is very misleading. This might be their intention to provide substandard service under the guise of the perception of a respectable company so they can benefit in profits over customer satisfaction.
Just thought other customers should know when deciding to spend their money on a nice gift for a loved one. read more..
